Nobody gave you the whole list.
The bank wants a succession certificate. The insurer wants something else. Answer six questions about your family and what they left, and we will tell you exactly which documents each institution needs — and what the law says each person inherits.
Free · no account · about two minutes. Your answers are never sent to us.
Complex cases handled by Adv. Parmod Kumar Bhardwaj, in practice for 46 years, member of the Supreme Court Bar Association. About the advocate
An illustration, not a real case. Your answers on the free check are never sent to us, and your own list names the exact form each institution wants.
Read on your device. Scans are processed in your browser. The AI only ever sees placeholders.
A fixed fee, never a percentage. Quoted before you create an account, and refunded if we cannot help.
Deleted after 90 days. Encrypted at rest, never used to train any AI, and erasable by you at any time.

Six things we would want to know, if we were you
You see the answer before you pay
The free check gives you the real shares under the law and the real document list — not a teaser. If that is all you needed, take it and go. Plenty of families will.
We say when you need a lawyer instead
Some cases cannot be done with paperwork alone. When yours is one of them, the free check says so and tells you why, before any money changes hands.
Your documents are read on your device
Scans are processed in your own browser. When we draft the letters, the AI is sent placeholders — never a name, an account number, a PAN or an Aadhaar. That is how it is built, not a promise about intentions.
One fixed fee, never a percentage
₹4,999 to ₹24,999 for the documents, depending on how many institutions are involved, or ₹50,000 with an advocate and stamp paper included. Quoted before you sign up. Anyone asking for a share of what you recover is a different kind of business. See pricing
We show you the section of the Act
Every share we calculate cites the provision it comes from — Hindu Succession Act s.10, Indian Succession Act s.33. You can check us, and so can the bank.
Held rather than guessed
Your pack is prepared automatically and is ready within minutes. But if the shares need an advocate, or our templates are out of date for your bank, the case is held for a person instead of being sent.

Five steps, and we have marked the slow one
Everyone else hides it. Prefer to see it rather than read it? Three worked examples show what a case looks like, start to finish — and a short film of a finished pack.

The free check
2 minutesSix questions. No name, no email, no account. You get the shares under the law and the document list for each institution.
- 02
Tell us the details
15 minutesOnly now do we ask who you are. Names as they appear on documents, which banks and funds, roughly how much, and the account numbers the claim forms need — stored encrypted and shown back to you masked.
- 03
Pay the fixed fee
one paymentYou already know the price from step one. If we then find we cannot help, you are refunded.
- 04
We prepare, a person checks
1 working dayClaim forms filled in, affidavits and indemnity bonds drafted for stamp paper, and a checklist per institution in the order things must actually be done.
- 05
You file, and we track it
weeks to monthsThis is the slow part and no service can change that. A straightforward bank transmission takes a few weeks. Anything needing a succession certificate is a court application — six months or more. We tell you which yours is at step one.
What we cannot do
- We are not a law firm and cannot give you legal advice.
- We cannot appear for you in any court or tribunal. Succession certificates and probate need an advocate — in the advocate package an enrolled advocate does that part, acting for you directly.
- We cannot make an institution accept a claim, and we cannot make one move faster.
- We cannot notarise anything. Stamp paper is yours to buy, unless you choose the advocate package, which includes it.
- We do not compute Muslim intestate shares. That needs school-specific rules a piece of software should not be guessing at, so those cases go to an advocate.
There are no customer quotes here
We are new, and inventing testimonials would be the first dishonest thing we did. When real families have used this and are willing to be named, they will appear here, with their permission.
Until then, judge us on the free check. It costs you nothing and it will tell you within two minutes whether we understand your situation.
The questions families ask us first
The awkward ones are here too. All 17 questions if you want the rest.
My father died and I have no idea where to start. What do I do first?
Get the death certificate from the municipal corporation first — nothing else can begin without it, and every institution wants a copy. While you wait, make a list of every account, policy and folio you can find: bank passbooks, insurance documents, mutual fund statements, share certificates, and his PF number. Then run our free check. It takes two minutes, needs no account, and tells you exactly what each institution on your list will ask for.
What does Mera Hissa cost?
A fixed fee, quoted before you create an account: ₹4,999 for a single institution, ₹14,999 for up to eight holdings, and ₹24,999 for larger estates and IEPF share recovery. If you would rather not deal with stamp paper or a court yourself, the advocate package is ₹50,000: the same documents, stamp paper bought and printed for you, and an advocate who reviews the pack and handles any succession certificate or probate application. We never take a percentage of what you recover. If we look at your case and find we cannot help, you are refunded in full. Court fees are always separate and paid to the court.
Other services take a percentage. Why do you charge a flat fee?
Because a percentage creates the wrong incentive and puts us in the same category as recovery agents, which regulators actively warn families about. Preparing the paperwork for a ₹5 lakh claim and a ₹50 lakh claim is nearly identical work. Charging ten times more for the second one would be charging for your loss, not for our effort.
Is it safe to give you a death certificate and account details?
Your scans are read in your own browser and never leave your device during that step. When our software drafts your letters, the AI receives placeholders — never a name, an account number, a PAN or an Aadhaar. Account numbers are asked for in full, because the claim forms we prepare have to carry them, and they are encrypted with a key held outside the database and shown back to you masked. Documents are encrypted, deleted 90 days after your case closes, and you can erase everything yourself at any time. Your information is never used to train any AI system and is never sold.
Are you lawyers?
No. Mera Hissa prepares documents and explains the process. We are not a law firm, nothing we give you is legal advice, and we do not represent anyone before a court or tribunal. That is a real limit, not a disclaimer we hide in a footer. Where your case needs a lawyer, we say so, and you can choose the advocate package, in which an enrolled advocate acts for you directly.
You use AI. What if it gets my inheritance share wrong?
It cannot, because AI does not calculate your shares. Those come from code that implements the statute directly, as exact fractions, with the section cited — and every result is checked to total exactly one before it can be used. The AI only writes the covering prose, and it is checked for unresolved placeholders before anything is released — if it produces one, the pack is held for a person rather than sent. The same applies if the shares need an advocate or our templates are out of date for your bank. Everything else is prepared automatically and reaches you within minutes.
Six questions. Your answers are never sent to us, and never saved.
You can stop at any point, and you will still have the document list.
